My journey has been an uphill battle for quite some time. In short, I am originally from Ohio, and for years, I struggled due to my inability to see beyond myself. However, the recent passing of my stepfather—who was not much older than I am—served as a profound wake-up call. It forced me to reflect on my existence and legacy. One hundred years from now, no one will remember me simply for earning every achievement in Halo or obtaining a degree. I want to create something meaningful—something that inspires others the way games like *Halo* inspired me. And I will.

A turning point came when I met a friend on Discord who needed a roommate in Texas. As a 3D artist for games and movies, Texas has always been where I wanted to be—an environment full of opportunity. However, my transition has been far from smooth. Due to complications with my first paycheck, I never received my initial earnings, which created tension with my roommate. In response, I have been working full-time while simultaneously driving for Uber Eats to make ends meet. The stress has taken a toll, affecting both my sleep and overall well-being.

One particularly exhausting night, at around 3 a.m., I fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in a severe car accident that left my vehicle totaled. After spending several days in the hospital, I was served a three-day eviction notice—despite knowing legally I should have been given 30 days. I ultimately left after nine. A person can only remain where they know they are not wanted for so long. Now, without reliable transportation, and lack of work until I find somewhere I can walk to, I am using the limited funds I have to navigate San Antonio—a city that still feels unfamiliar. I bought a bicycle and it was stolen the first day i got it

To remain in Texas and continue pursuing my dream of founding an independent game studio, I have devised a bold plan. I've had to sell my most priced possession, my PC when I purchased it a few years ago and has remained in excellent condition through careful maintenance and upgrades. The money from this sale will provide me with the financial stability needed to regain my footing—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Once I am in a more stable position, I plan to invest in a high-quality touchscreen laptop, such as a Lenovo Yoga, so I can refine my craft, rebuild my portfolio, and begin developing the many games I have envisioned.
