She has had a rough go at life. She is a momma who was living in my neighbour's garage until she was hit by a car last week. Sadly, we didn't find her until a few days later.
We rushed her to the Alta Vista hospital to determine the extent of her injuries - a broken jaw and palate, a severely damaged eye and she was starving because she couldn't eat or drink due to her jaw. Poor girl.
We could have put her to sleep because it would be so expensive to treat her but we wanted to show her that she mattered, that her life mattered.
Dickie's Cause 4 Paws graciously jumped in to help take over Question's treatment. Even knowing the extent of her injuries, they wanted to give Question a fair chance at a good life.
Question is now in the good hands of Almonte Veterinary Services . On Dec. 6 she had surgery to fix her palate and she is likely going to her lose her eye. She also had a feeding tube inserted so that she can get nourishment. She is struggling to surive but she is a fighter and we want to give her a chance at a better life.
Dickie's Cause 4 Pause is giving Question that chance.
Needless to say, helping her get better is going to be expensive. Please help me support Question and Dickie's Cause 4 Paws. Many would easily argue Question should have been put down, but she deserves a chance at a better life.
All money that is donated will go directly to the Almonte Veterinary Services to cover costs related to Question's treatment and care.
I will provide updates here, but please also refer to Dickie's Cause 4 Paws facebook page for regular updates:
