Help Paula Fight Cancer
Donation protected
She was sick all of December—it's just the flu, they said ...
But they were wrong. In January our treasured Auntie Paula was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and unfortunately, it's positive for the DNMT3A mutation (an acquired gene mutation associated with a poor prognosis).
Our Auntie, my Mom's sister, has always been a tough cookie and a fighter with a positive attitude, but now she is struggling and needs us all to help her fight. The chemotherapy she has been on for the past 4 months has done all it can but is no longer enough to sustain her life. She needs a stem cell transplant, which is expensive and risky, but is her only option to give her a fighting chance.
The need for funding for our Auntie's stem cell treatment is emergent. Our family would greatly appreciate anything you can spare—every dollar helps. Please also send positive, healing thoughts and prayers her way! Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.
