Help Our Friend Javier

Our dear friend,  Javier Quezada,  has been stricken with cancer. His fight is against Extrapulmonary Renal Cell Carcinoma. The tumor is attached to his kidney right on his aorta artery. With a warrior-like attitude (after all, he is a former standout lineman at San Marcos H.S.!), he has just finished his third round of chemo.  We are all praying that the tumor has shrunk to the size in which surgery can be performed soon at Stanford Cancer Center by Dr. Sukhmani Padda, the head oncologist, Dr. Benjamin Chung, urology/oncologist surgeon and Dr. Sandy Srinvas, Medical Urology Oncologist. He has a great team of skilled doctors and hundreds of supporters.

Javier is the VP/Community Banking Manager at Community West Bank. His employer has been been especially understanding throughout his battle. He is married to an incredibly supportive wife, Kristin.  She is his rock and biggest cheerleader, who is trying to hold the house together and support her husband while working full time as a physical therapist at Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital. They have two incredible children: Kailey, a sophomore at San Marcos and Bryce, a freshman at San Diego State.
Javier is a kind, humble, and generous man, who has spent his life in Santa Barbara serving others as a coach, a board member, and a volunteer at the following organizations:

Page Youth Center
San Marcos High School Royal Pride Foundation
Santa Barbara & Ventura County Dental Association
Goleta Lemon Festival
Goleta Evening Rotary
Goleta Chamber of Commerce
Goleta Valley South Little League

Partners in Education
United Way of SB
American Heart Association
Special Olympics
Alzheimer’s Association

We are sharing this list because we wanted you to know something about his character. He is a giver, always has been and always will be.

BUT now is the time for us to help him.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help
Javier and his family pay for the unexpected and incredibly high costs of fighting this terrible disease. Your donations will help pay for the doctors, the treatments, and the medications, as well as help the Quezada family live day- by-day, and not stress over how they will pay all the bills.

From the bottom of our hearts,  we thank you for your donations.  Together, we can  reach our goal, thus  enabling this family to focus on defeating this formidable challenge in front of them.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Clay & Sally Dickens, Andy & Sam Ochsner, Mike & Meredith Cota and Mario & Theresa Coronado
