Bringing Home Brooklynn
Donation protected
Brooklynn Renee Heberlein (daughter of Caitlin & Jordan) is our precious gift and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival in February. Brooklynn (Boo) has Down Syndrome and some of the medical complications associated with this diagnosis.
As you may know, children with Down Syndrome are 15 times more likely to acquire leukemia in their life. Cord blood can be used to save these children, but you only have one shot save the cord blood and its costly.
In addition, Brooklynn has AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect) and will need open heart surgery to repair her heart when she is between 4-6 months of age. Brooklynn is expected to be in surgery over half a day and in NICU for at least two weeks following surgery.
Brooklynn's family is working hard to raise funds to help pay for the cord blood preservation and numerous costs associated with her heart surgery including living expenses while she is in the hospital so far from home.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Please share this with other who may want to help Boo.
God Bless our precious angel!
