Hi, my name is Ella Mayo and we are raising emergency funds for my best friend and twin, beloved community member and drag performer, Ocean La'Vodka Giovanni . ♡

Ocean has been moving through the effects of severe trauma she experienced and it now requires her to fully step away from work and her daily life to receive treatment and take time to heal and get back on her feet. She has to step away from her day job for the foreseeable future, for treatment and recovery time.

The fundraising goal of $5,100 for Ocean though this Gofundme will go towards the combined costs of covering her bills for at least three months: rent, monthly utilities, pet food for her cat, My King, and her multiple medications. Ocean hasn't had consistent access to a working cell phone for the past few days, so her communication has been limited.

Ocean is a Black, trans, queer community figure, drag performer, and friend to so many. We all love her so much and it would really help her overwhelming situation if we could help take these burdens off her plate as she navigates treatment, recovery time and healing. ❤️

Ocean is the brightest light in the world and I hope we can take care of her through this really difficult time.

Ocean has the biggest, brightest smile and goofy humour, and she has been bringing so much joy to Toronto's queer performance spaces for years and years.
