“From Under the Rubble… A Mother’s Plea to Save Her Family”

My name is Niveen, I’m 31 years old, a mother of two boys — Mohammed and Baha — and a wife to an injured man who can no longer work or walk due to his wounds from the ocupation. We are a Palestinian family from Gaza. We once dreamed of a simple, peaceful life — but war shattered everything.

One day, while Mohammed was playing near our tent, a missile struck nearby. He was hit by shrapnel in his abdomen and leg. I carried him in my arms, covered in blood, running and begging for help. We were delayed for hours at checkpoints, and I felt my heart bleed more than his wounds.

Today, Mohammed needs ongoing and expensive treatment. We live in a tent on rented land that costs $500 a month — and we often go days without proper food. My husband is disabled, and I fight alone every day to find medicine, food, and hope.

I have never asked for anything for myself. But today, from the heart of a broken mother, I beg you: help me save my child’s life and bring back some light into our little home.
