Nina Cook needs our help. Nina is a single mother and a well-known vocal coach, self-employed as a private music teacher in the Ventura County area for many years. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We will not know until after her upcoming mastectomy if the cancer is contained. Currently, two surgeries are scheduled.
  While the costs of the actual surgeries and in-hospital medical care are covered, her day-to-day living expenses are not. For a single self-employed mom like Nina, this diagnosis is especially devastating. While recovering from multiple surgeries and enduring the debilitating side effects of ongoing chemotherapy she will be unable to work. And despite not working, her living expenses continue; rent, utilities, food. She is without a safety net. On her behalf we are hoping to raise enough to cover these bare minimums for the next six months so that Nina can concentrate on recovery.
