Probably you all know by now that on Saturday April 25th, 2015 an earthquake of 7.9 magnitude occured in Nepal. The worst to hit the nation in over 80 years.
- Till today, we have lost 3700 human lives which is expected to rise sharply once rescue teams reaches rural villages which have been wipped out of the map.
Rural villages are currently only accessible through air transport. Among many, one of them is Namche Bazaar (a remote village in foothills of Everest) where my sister (Raksha) was stationed as a medical doctor around a month ago. I was able to receive news about her being safe and sound only a day after the quake since most of the communication means have been totally destroyed.
Today, I received an email from her (unedited letter below) explaining the situations currently the people are facing. So, on her behalf I decided to start this relief fund. I kindly urge my dearest friends, families, coworkers and everyone to help raise funds and help my country and my people in this time of urgent need. Every penny counts.
I truly thank you and would be in debt for all your help.

PS - On top of massive earthquake, we have experienced at least 90 aftershocks in last 2 days. Among those, 15 were of over 6 magnitude and 45 of above 4.5 Richter scale.
