My mom (Christen Buchanan) and her 5 animals lost her beautiful home on January 7th in the Eaton Fire, Altadena. She loved this home and lived there almost 30 years. It was my childhood home. Everyone who visited would tell you what a sanctuary it was. She would spend every day under the big beautiful trees feeding the birds and squirrels.

My mom has devoted her life to helping others in need. She has raised countless funds for less fortunate people, putting kids through school in third world countries, repairing buildings in Africa, and rescuing many animals,

Many of you have asked how you can support. She only packed one suitcase and her animals before the fire took everything else. She has lost everything (except her good spirits and tendency to believe the universe is still beautiful).
