Sergey and Alena’s Home Destroyed in Ukraine

On the afternoon of Friday, February 25th, 2022, my cousins Sergey and Alena, and their three precious children, lost their home due to a bombshell that was launched by a Russian military truck that directly hit their 3rd floor apartment located in Bucha, Ukraine. Bucha is on the outskirts of the capital, Kyiv, and is one of many cities in Ukraine that has been invaded and attacked by the Russian military.

They have lost everything and now only have the clothes on their back and a mission in their hearts to spread God’s love, even in the midst of their own hardship and storm.

My cousins have been hiding out in a church in Bucha with over 100 people since the day of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine (February 24th, 2022). Since then, Sergey and Alena have been faithfully focused on serving their local community, sharing the gospel while feeding others and providing shelter for all those in need that have come to the church from the neighborhood and surrounding area. They have decided to stay in Bucha, Ukraine and not evacuate in order to help as many people as they can, including the orphaned girls they have been taking care of as part of their boarding house ministry, prior to the war.

It has been laying heavy on my heart to raise up money for their new home and I need your help. If you are able to give any amount towards Sergey and Alena’s future residence, I know they and their children will greatly and sincerely appreciate it. Thank you so much for helping my family with your donation and most importantly, thank you for your prayers.
