Hello Friends and Family,
We are creating this campaign to raise money for Mila to attend her 8th grade school trip tp NYC and Washington D.C. She is incredibly excited and we would love to take this opportrunity to ask all of our friends and family to please participate in this adventure.
The cost of the trip is $2300 for 6 days of exploring both of these beautiful cities that are rich with history and culture. The cost covers all of her travel, hotel, food and entry to all of the sites they will attend including The White House, The Smithsonian, Times Square and a Broadway show as well many other sites. The organization that is handling the trip is called World Strides you can check them out here www.worldstridesdiscovernow.org.
Since they are working with unaccompanied minors they need to have a tour guide and several chaperones on the trip. They rent a tour bus and have a driver for the kids. Also they must pay for insurance so that students are covered in case of injury or a medical emergency.
Mila has really been working hard at being a productive and positive student and really wanted to attend the trip last year but due to financial strain on the family and the actual cost of the trip we were unable to send her. We set a new goal this school year to raise money and hope this will be the first of many long trips she gets to take in her life.
