Matthew and Beth Kennedy have been trying for six years to start a family. They experienced a devastating miscarriage, several medical procedures and two IVF procedures.
Then the miracle happened. Beth had become pregnant with twins!!

On January 30, 2015 at 21 weeks 3 days, Beth was admitted to the hospital for PPROM (Preterm Premature Rupture of Membrane). There was a ruptured membrane and was losing the fluid the babies need to develop and grow to be become full term healthy babies. Beth was required to be immediately hospitalized.
She had to be on complete bed rest in the hospital. Then it became a roller coaster of emotions. There were three trips to labor & deliver to stop the contractions because it was too early for the babies to be born, two rounds of intravenous magnesium to help brain development, and four steroid injections to help respiratory development.
The hopeful plan was that Beth would spend a total of 13 weeks in the hospital so the babies could develop through 34 weeks.
That was the hope, but that did not happen. She had spent 33 days in the hospital. The babies were born at 25 weeks 5 days on March 1, 2015.
The beautiful twins Fiona Skye and Chloe Mae were born fifteen weeks too soon.

They were going to face a long journey ahead of them in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
The twin micro preemies would spend months in the NICU at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They were receiving excellent care 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The days had their ups and downs. Everyday was a struggle to survive for the girls.
Sadly, Fiona Skye lost that battle on March 17, 2015. She is now in heaven keeping close eye on her sister Chloe Mae as her guardian angel.
Beth is home now and makes daily trips to the hospital to be with Chloe Mae and advocate for her progress. She is unable to return to work and as a result she will have a loss of wages for several months. There is also the enormous medical costs for the babies. Chloe Mae will spend a minimum of 3 months, possibly longer in the NICU. Matthew is currently working at a local Lowes. His profession is as an Instructional designer, but at this time he has not found employment in that field. Any job offers that do come his way have required him to move out of the state and that is not something the family can even consider now.
This new family is in need of your help. No amount is too little to give. They will forever be indebted to you for your help.
