Nine years ago, I lost my two Australian Shepherds in a very sudden, traumatic way. Those girls were my world, and losing them completely shattered me. My employees at the time saw how deeply this affected me, and pooled their money together to surprise me with the best German Shepherd puppy in the world. We named her Mhya. Since that day, this sweet girl has been my rock, strong and true as only a dog can be.
Now Mhya needs me to be the rock. Yesterday (Monday), she began acting lethargic and clearly in pain, vomiting, unable to defecate, and uninterested in any food... even standard go-tos like peanut butter and boiled chicken. After trips to the regular vet, the emergency vet, and the internal specialist, X-rays, ultrasounds, anti-nausea injections, antiinflammatory injections, fluids, and at least two (now eight) enemas, she is still no better. What we have learned so far is Mhya has at least a day and a half amount of feces stuck far above her colon, a small cyst in one kidney, and half of the other kidney is consumed by another cyst. As we sit in the waiting room waiting to see the specialist for the next test - dye enema and more X-rays and/or ultrasound to determine exactly where and what is causing the blockage above her colon - Mhya, who is normally bouncing off every wall in the room and barking as if they haven't yet heard her in Europe, lays still next to me... off leash.
The bills up to this point - only the diagnostics SO FAR, not including any treatment other than the two enemas - total over $1100 (UPDATE - total from VSEC including diagnostics, surgery, and post-surgery ICU care is $6900). Unable to find regular work over the last two months, paying these bills on my own is impossible. I would cut out my own kidney and sell it on the black market if that's what it took to get my girl back to her normal hyper, happy self... but I hope it doesn't come to that.
I am so incredibly grateful for any financial help you can offer, and I am happy to provide healing sessions (Flowtrition or Pranic Healing) in exchange for monetary donations to help my sweet babydog Mhya.
