Hi Guys and Girls!
Welcome to my GoFundMe page. Hopefully this will work out as friends of mine have suggested, because I can really use a little help at the moment, for my bff Melissa. ShesS really been struggling with a few things, but it mostly boils down to 2 things; her health and her financial situation.
Why do I have a GoFundMe page? Because she git hitsome serious financial hardships. She is not at all healthy and even with her health insurance, her medical bills are sky high! Every specialist, lab work up, surgery, imaging test, infusion, procedure... It all costs A LOT.
Mel's health has been very bad for several years now. She's had a hysterectomy, several severe bouts of C. Diff, she's been in kidney failure and had seizures. Her hemoglobin has been so low she would have died within a few hours. She has a Pacemaker/Defibrillator. I guess you could say she's very lucky to be alive. Because this stuff is constant and intense and it kicks her butt every single time. All day, every day.
Mel pretty much has no life, aside from all this medical stuff. She has a doctor to see this day, a fasting lab test the next one. She's spent more nights in a hospital bed than anyone should have to. Heck, she's just recovering from a scary incident involving her Pacemaker messing up!
So I guess I'm here on GoFundMe because as much as sheds hate me to admit it, she really needs help. In addition to all the medical stuff, she has her half of an apartment/utilities to take care of. (I'm her roommate, so I take care of the other half.)
She's found it hard to get work, even something simple from home. She hasn't qualified for DES or temporary disability benefits. In all seriousness, it's been you guys and girls who have kept her alive and moving forward. You've covered her living expenses and all her medical stuff. Without you, I don't know where she'd be or if she'd be alive.
Your generousity has kept her going. Every single donation, small or big, is so very appreciated. It all adds up, and that equals another day for Melissa. It means she can see the doctors and have the labs done that mean the best outcome for her. That's what this page is about, that's what you're giving to Mel when you share your giving spirit with her; another day, maybe even a good day.
I promise your donations go to a really great cause. They keep Mel alive! You cover her and electricity, you cover her health insurance and the co-pays for all the medical stuff she's gotta do on an almost-daily basis.
