You can make a difference

Hi, my name is Angelica Uribe, and I am yearning to positively change one persons life, at the bare minimum. I will be volunteering with a non profit organization called Health Youth. This mission is specifically dedicated to serving people in rural areas with little access to resources such as routine checkups, medication and treatment plans. I will be assisting the health care teams in diagnosing and treating the locals who reside in these rural communities. I will also be teaching health education to the children in the communities who know little to nothing about basic health. I am passionate about this mission because I believe we all possess the goodness to give back. I was fortunate enough to be raised with access to food, clean water, shelter, education, access to hospitals and health care professionals, where as these people were not. I want to give back, and show believers that regardless of your circumstances, you CAN make an impact on someone else's life. I want to even out the planes, I want to be a helper. We can't control our circumstances, we can only control how we react when presented them. I challenge you to always react in a way that would resonate the good nature that stems from your core. Thank you.
