Help a family facing homelessness stay somewhere safe

I’m not okay.

That’s difficult to admit. I have to believe I will be okay, eventually, but right now I’m not, and I haven’t been for quite some time. Physically. Mentally. I’m hanging by a thread and need help. As soon as I think things are going to work out, I’m back to writing and in a better headspace, my meds working, it all falls apart again.

My lease is up, and the plumbing has completely gone out in this place. I have until the end of this month to move, but I have nowhere to go and no way to get anywhere. I have a broken down car in the driveway that would cost far too much to fix (the entire hybrid system failed on it before I could pay it off). Can’t even live in your car without one. I have a kid that put off college because he worries about my stability. I’ve also had two kitties for a decade that I have to find shelter for ASAP. I love them fiercely… they deserve a good home and safety. I need help resettling them.

I’ve been struggling to stay afloat… now having to come up with deposits and moving costs is impossible. My family has done everything they can but I’m staring down homelessness. Trying to sell everything I own is barely making a dent with such short notice (and definitely a short-term fix since I sold my laptop, which hinders my employment).

I know many are struggling. Please don’t feel obligated, but if anyone has the means and can help me while I’m struggling get back onto my feet, I would be eternally grateful.

For those that have been asking, I’ve been working on a new series that I’ve been so excited about. I hoped to have news to share about it this summer. Please don’t visit my website, though, as it’s been hacked and being held hostage (as is my Facebook account, I’ve been fighting to get it unlocked).

TLDR; need desperate help for temporary shelter and transportation so I can settle my son and my two kitties somewhere safe (like a pet-friendly hotel?) with short notice while unhoused.
