Maria's Medical Expenses

My sister Maria Aybar has been in a severe car accident. A car driving in the wrong direction at over 100 mph crashed into the van she was driving while on her way back to Denison University.  She is currently in a medical center in Columbus, OH. It was miraculous that she survived the accident; however, her injuries are very severe. She broke her tibia as well as dislocated and broke her pelvis. Currently she is unable to walk due to the damage in her pelvis and legs. She underwent two surgeries one for her pelvis and the other for her tibia and she is expected to go under a third operation to remove the metal rod in her pelvis. It's difficult to estimate her recovery time and her family are not sure whether she will be staying in Ohio or if she will be transferred back to Boston to continue her physical therapy and perform the last surgery. 

My siser and I take care of Maria because our mother does not live in the United States, but she travelled from the Dominican Republic as soon as she heard the unfortunate news. Unfortunately, our family's financial circumstances would not allow us to handle this extreme financial burden. The money raised will help with any medical expenses not covered by her insurance and other expenses such as plane travel and everything necessary for facilitating her recovery. Our family would appreciate any help in order to focus our emotional energy towards the recovery of Maria rather than worrying about financial difficulties.
