Our Goal

The last four years have been a whirlwind. A pandemic, turbulent world events, economic uncertainty, and general division among our neighbors. Now more than ever a community of the performing arts is needed. The definition of Luminary is "A person who inspires or influences others". Here at Luminary we want to inspire others to come together in community and the love of the arts. To be a safe and inspiring community and a guiding light for the artists of tomorrow.

We are currently growing and looking for support to make improvements on a new performance space where we can create a permanent destination for our community in North County San Diego to come together and celebrate the performing arts. This space would house a small theater; studio classrooms for music, theater, and dance; and offices for our staff and teaching artists in the San Marcos, CA area.

About Luminary

The Mission of Luminary Arts is building community by educating, supporting, and creating, performing artists. Originally founded in 2015, Luminary Arts is a 501c(3) Nonprofit Educational Theater Company, based in San Marcos,

California. We currently serve as a subcontractor for multiple school districts in the area. We provide both in-school and after-school performing arts programming including Music, Dance, and Theater classes, concerts and musical theater productions. We work in collaboration with teachers and school administrators, to present our programming to the students, live and onsite, at the participating schools. We also provide performing arts classes and private lessons in Music, Dance and Theater at our studio location. We produce professional quality youth-theater and inter-generational concerts, plays, and camps,

at both school and community venues across San Diego County.
