Help Lisa the Cat Walk Again
Donation protected
If you know me, you have probably know about my wonderful cat Lisa. But you also know that I am not one to ask for help unless it is absolutely necessary. I hate asking for donations, but one of my best friends and companions, Lisa, is in desperate need of help.
Lisa is our beautiful tortoishell cat of 12 years. She was my sixth birthday present and has been with my family through thick and thin. She has protected me from fierce and dangerous mice and bunnies, opened presents under the Christmas tree with me, tolerated me pestering her as a child, and cuddled with me almost every night for more than a decade. Lisa is a cherished member of our family.
Lisa was sleeping in a warm corner of the garage and managed to get her leg stuck in the gap of the garage door as it closed. She dislocated her hip, tearing all of the soft tissue around it, and is in a lot of pain. The vet explained that Lisa needs a FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery. He explained that cats' hips are shallow, and you cannot simply pop the ball back into the socket, so this is a complicated surgery to repair the hip joint and the soft tissue around it.
Unfortunately, this is a very expensive procedure that my family cannot afford. AES Animal Hospital is willing to do the surgery, but it will cost approximately $3,000.00. This surgery needs to be done for Lisa as soon as possible or else she will suffer permanent damage and will not be able to walk.
We want to see Lisa happy and healthy so that she can run, play and cuddle with her beloved family like a normal cat. Please do not feel pressured to donate if you cannot afford it, but if you can, every penny counts and we truly appreciate it. Any extra money collected will be donated to a local, no-kill shelter. I will send you a picture of Lisa with her paw print on it for you to hang on your wall as a thank you!
Thank you for the support,
Love,
Anthony K and the Krichevskiy Family
