Linda is my beautiful best friend. She is one of the most caring and most honest people that I have ever known. Not only does she always put others before her but she is always in the most positive mood no matter what the situation.
In July of 2014, while finishing up her communications degree at Sacramento State, Linda age 26, was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Even after having to undergo a full hysterectomy and rounds of chemotherapy, Linda always stayed positive and fought back hard. After treatment, Linda recovered and was cleared of any cancer for the first check up. However, as the second check up approached Linda began to feel pain again in her lower region. After another MRI her doctor came back with the the news that the cancer had returned.
Linda has had to undergo more rounds of chemotherapy which is leading up to another life changing surgery that will give her a 50/50 chance of being cured. Her recovery time in the hospital alone will take almost a month and anywhere from 2-3 months when she is sent home. Though Linda is one of the strongest women I know, It has been a difficult Journey not only emotionally but Financially as well. Linda can no longer work in the condition that she is in and driving to and from medical appointments not to mention paying for other medical related supplies are taking a toll.
Linda, like any person, deserves to be stress free on the journey of battling cancer. Her focus should be on her health and not on wondering how she will pay for her next medical expense. Your support would mean the world to her!
