WHAT IS LIGHTSPEED SABER ACADEMY?

Lightspeed Saber Academy is California's premier light-based fencing gym and holds classes & competitions in the sport of Lightspeed Saber. It's also the HQ of Lightspeed Saber League. We teach five classes a week to people of all ages and are also continuously developing new rules, teaching methods, and creating games that benefit the rest of the League all across the country. HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Our current location in Westminster, CA is being demolished, giving us only 30 days to find and move into a new location. We're expecting our expenses to go up about 4x what they currently are, and we're going to need help to meet those expenses.

So we are asking for your help in this next trial. It cannot be overstated that your help is invaluable in us saving LSA and the League as a whole. Even $10 from you can help make a difference in our success.

HOW WILL WE USE THE MONEY?

The 4x increase in rent is where a large part of the donations will go, split over the span of a year to help us survive this first tumultuous year of our move. But, in addition to the expenses of our rent, we need help setting up the new space including: purchasing new flooring that won't require us to maintain/upkeep it nearly as often, installing a working AC system, getting a wider range of weights to incorporate into our workouts and for our members to use, buying new floor lights, some new sabers and loaner gear for our members and any guests to use, and installing lockers and a fridge for our members to store their things during lessons.

We have to move from the place that we have spent years building up into the perfect gym for our sport, including custom flooring and a beautiful mural painted by one of our members. With this move imminent, help us find and build an even better place!
