Update – Kimberly Passed Away on the Morning of November 23, 2025

With the heaviest hearts, we share that our beloved Kimberly passed away on the morning of November 23, 2025. Despite every effort from her medical team and the overwhelming love and prayers from family and friends, her body could no longer keep fighting.

Kim was the heart of our home. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a loving daughter, and a source of strength for everyone who knew her. Losing her so suddenly has left our family shattered, and the road ahead feels unimaginable without her presence, guidance, and warmth.

While we are grateful she is no longer suffering, we are now facing the emotional and financial realities of laying her to rest. Her medical bills, combined with the costs of funeral and memorial arrangements, have placed a tremendous burden on our family during a time of deep grief.

We are humbly asking for support—whether through donations or simply by sharing this page—to help us honor Kim’s life and give her the peaceful farewell she deserves. Any amount truly helps more than words can express.

My wife Kimberly and I have been married for twenty-five years, together for twenty-six. I always believed she would be the one caring for me as we grew older - especially because shortly after we married in 2000, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Throughout our marriage, Kim has been my rock. She has been a stable pillar in our home, a faithful partner, and the person who has always stepped up with love, strength, and sacrifice. She made sure I never missed a doctor’s appointment. She raised our children, worked full-time, prepared meals, supported me through every setback, and cared for her elderly mother—all while putting her own wants and needs to the side. She has been everything a husband, family, and community could hope for.

Two weeks ago, everything changed.

Kim woke up with what she described as a severe headache. We assumed it might be normal, so I suggested Tylenol and rest. After lying down for a short while, she got up and said the pain had become worse and then I noticed she was having trouble balancing. I immediately called an ambulance.

At the hospital, she was rushed into a CT scan. Moments later, we were told she had a brain bleed and needed to be transported by ambulance to the University of Minnesota Medical Center to be treated by specialists.

She underwent emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on her brain. We later learned that the bleed had also caused pressure on her spinal cord at the base of her brain. In the past two weeks, Kim has endured more than most people face in a lifetime. She required a breathing tube to help her breathe. She experienced episodes of severe disorientation and lost the ability to perform fine motor skills. She has endured blood vessel spasms in her brain, angioplasty, and multiple complications that threatened a full stroke due to oxygen loss in the right hemisphere of her brain.

She is receiving exceptional care from a team of specialists, and for that I am deeply grateful.

But the truth is, Kim is the caregiver of our family - not just for me, but also for her elderly mother. I cannot begin to imagine how we will manage without her strength during this long road to recovery. The financial burden alone will be enormous; her medical care is expected to reach seven figures, and the loss of her ability to work has placed our household in an overwhelming position.

How the Funds Will Be Used

All funds raised will go directly toward supporting Kim’s recovery and sustaining our family through this crisis. This includes:

• Medical bills, hospital stays, emergency surgery, and rehabilitation

• Rent and essential household expenses

• Medication, equipment, and transportation for medical appointments

• Anything needed to maintain stability while Kim heals
