It's not often that I ask for a little help from my friends. But as a good friend recently reminded me, pride has never fixed anything, and Lady's health is first priority.
Many of you know Lady doggie and know how much she means to me and what a wonderful doggie she is.
When I am sick or feeling down, she is at my side to comfort. When something goes well, she is also there, cheering me on with an excited prance and tail wagging. Lady is a rescue dog and all who know her can attest to her sweet nature and gentleness. She's a poor guard dog because, despite appearances, she's a huge baby, but I know she'd come to my aid without hesitation.
Now Lady needs some help. For the past month I've been trying to figure out why Lady wasn't herself and could not keep food down. The veterinarian says there is a diseased mass in her stomach that needs to be removed surgically for Lady to be well. He says this is a good option for Lady because of the location of the mass and that with this surgery she'll be back to her old self in no time.
There is hope for Lady to get well and to continue to be the supportive and amazing dog she is, but we need your help to do it! And so we are asking for your contribution. No amount is too small or great to help Lady and myself through this hard time. We are grateful for any help you can provide. If just 150 people give $25 we're over halfway there! That's pretty darn incredible!
In gratitude,
Megan
