Help!! Kaiden has been invited to play in Spain :)

Hi Ladies, Gents and Others....

I am Glen, father to 12yo Kaiden who is a born and bred local boy with an opportunity to train in Barcelona via selection at School Holiday Football Camp (see links below)

Kaiden has been playing football/soccer (I dunno what we are supposed to call things these so don't want to offend anyone, but really at the same time stop being so precious) for a few years now for Townsville Warriors FC, he liked it right away and took to it - shout out Warriors - most of my mates played for these guys in the 90's. He did well so we decided to get him some extra training through Edd's Football Academy where he quickly built his skills.

While trolling Instagram one day Kaiden came across a holiday camp in Brisbane hosted by the Barca Academy - we were supposed to goto Gold Coast late September 2023 for Premier Invitational Tournament, but someone decided he wanted break his wrist at training 2 weeks out from that event that we had to cancel, so to make up for this lost trip I decided we could go to Brisbane and catch up with some family and he could do his Barca Holiday Camp giving the wife and I a bit of holiday at the same time.

Now, my dilema, Kaiden has been selected by his coaches from hundreds of kids out of 3 camps similar to the one we did in Brisbane to goto Barcelona and train on the same grounds that have created some of the greats of the game including Kaidens Idol - Messi. The cost for Kaiden and 1 adult (compulsary) to go to the camp including flights is around $15k (infact $14,726 at todays exchange rate), seeking some help to raise some funds towards the cost so that Kaiden can do this once in a lifetime experience.

I have asked the Barca Academy if there is anything they can do to reduce the costs and will be asking around the club for fundraising opportunities as well.

Any help to get Kaiden there would be awesome. I know there are people in desperate times and more deserving, if you can't help, can you share in the hope someone that can, will?
