My name is Julia Nabizadah and I am 21 years old.
When I was three my family and I moved to Australia from a town called Herat in Afghanistan due to war. From the age of 8 I promised myself that I would return and help those in need.
Moving to Australia was life-changing and has shaped the person I am today. For this exact reason, I've decided to travel to Afghanistan and personally help those living in poverty. However, I can't do this without the help of you all. This issue is close to heart. To have the opportunity to travel back to the country I was born in and help those without a voice will be a life changing experience.
and it is now OFFICIAL! I have booked my flights and will be leaving in June for 1 month. I intend on delivering these funds raised on this page, directly to people in need. Specifically targeting the poverty stricken community in the Herat province. I am very lucky to have family living there that will guide me throughout this process.
Funds will be used to purchase oil and rice. This will be distributed to families in desperate need.
All funds are non-profit
I will attempt to video document this, however; this can be challenging due to the strict rules. If this is not possible than I will ensure to capture images to share with you all. I am so excited to embark on this journey and can not wait to see the smiles on the faces of those who are not as fortunate to be living a life free of poverty.
