Help with Jonathan's Recovery
Donation protected
Jonathan Roblero, a nine year old boy from Huntingtowne Farms Elementary and a resident of the south-west Charlotte community, was brutally attacked near a Charlotte park on Sunday April 12, that has left him in a body cast at Levine Children's Hospital.
Jonathan was playing near Archdale Park Sunday evening when he was attacked by what is believed to be two dogs, the result of which have already required three major surgeries which more to come, and an expected two to three months in hospital. The owner of the dogs, neither of which were up to date on their rabies shots, has not yet been identified by CMPD and is unlikely to have insurance or be in a position to pay the expected significant amount in medical bills, not to mention counseling for Jonathan and his distraught family.
Jonathan's tragic story has been captured by the news and media. http://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/9-year-old-bit-by-dog-while-playing-near-south-charlotte-park/209288723 and http://www.wbtv.com/story/31692841/family-young-boy-hospitalized-after-being-attacked-by-neighbors-pit-bull
Learning Help Centers of Charlotte www.lhcclt.org , a 501c3 non-profit serving this community, is the administrator for this cause and is raising funds for the family to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses, as well as recovery and rehabilitation, which is expected to take many months.
Please be praying for Jonathan's recovery and restoration to good health and vitality. Kindly consider a financial donation to support Jonny and his family. They would be so appreciative of the communities outpouring of love, encouragement and empathy at this difficult time.
