On March 10, 2018, Jelessa was diagnosed with AML, a fast growing leukemia. She is seeking alternative treatments, like intravenous high dose Vitamin C and Oxygen Therapies. She also wants to boost her immune system by doing a Detox and taking natural supplements; however, none of these treatments are covered by her health insurance.
