Help Jasper Enrich Young Lives

Please help me set up a theatre school and charity to help enrich and change the lives of young people. That’s my ambition. I want others to benefit like I did. I was once 6 years old and lost. The art and community of drama changed everything for me. I want to do the same for others.
My name is Jasper Ryan-Cater. I am a St Lucian/Brit born in London and currently living in Sussex.
If 500 people could give me £10 I could get there.
I have been performing for almost 15 years and helping to teach children for the last 3. To make my dream a reality, first I have to qualify in BA Hons Performance-Acting. I have my place at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and I am very excited. Sadly, there are no government loans to cover all my costs, so here I am raising the balance. Without it I can’t go and I might never realise my dream.
Your help would be the most incredible gift and I promise to do whatever it takes to say thank you and invite you to the opening of the school.
To do work with young people, which I have been doing for the past 4 years at various academy’s and private schools across the south east area, is relatively easy to get as long as you have a connection to the school or academy already but once there, they will normally only let you run one off classes or lessons at the end of terms that don’t end up actually impacting children’s learning. To make the biggest difference I need regular classes, community projects set up and access to these areas that need it most. I can’t do that without accreditation from a reputable institution. Or at least it would take a lot, lot longer to become established and be harder to reach it London and other areas.
Mountview in particular is key as it not only gives people the training to prepare them for a professional career if they do choose that, but also the fact at its new site in Peckham there is a purpose built community theatre within the building that is specifically to be used by the community and the local area for whatever they desire, facilitated by Mountview staff and students. This building was made possible by the £800k given by Sadiq Khan to “support Londoners from BAME backgrounds to get involved in the arts, as well as people from lower socio-economic groups, disabled people and young people not in education, employment or training”
So I hope you can see Mountview would not just prepare me to have a purely selfish career geared towards helping only myself but at its core values promotes getting art into the communities that need it. Which is the exact core values I hope to promote with charity work post-training.
