Good day!
I am Jasmin Tanseco from the Philippines, 19 years old, studying at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am currently in my third year taking up Certificate in Sports Studies. Along side being a UP student, I am also a member of the UP Streetdance Club, the official streetdance group of the University of the Philippines. We have always stood for honor and excellence, garnering 36 championships since 1997 for our alma mater.
This year, we continue our pursuit for honor and excellence by representing not only our university, but our beloved country as well, in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The World Hip Hop Championships, hosted by Hip Hop International, is the biggest and most recognized hip hop dance competition in the world with more than 50 countries participating each year. The UP Streetdance Club is very proud to have represented well in the years that it has joined completing podium finishes for the years 2012 and 2013, bringing back 2 bronze medals for the country. This year, the Club has decided to take on the challenge once again
Through my hardwork, dedication and prayers, I got in the competing roster. However, I am still facing an issue regarding our expenses for our airfare, food, transportation and accomodations. With this, I humbly ask for your financial assistance. Any amount would be of great help and would contribute greatly to making my dream of performing, competing and representing on the world stage into a reality. If you are interested with helping me in any way, I would be more than happy to send you a pledge letter with the breakdown of expenses.
I am currently raising funds for the said competition and our deadline would be on or before June 25, 2016.
I know it may be difficult for you to understand a stranger's story, even more so a stranger asking for financial help, but I believe that we have something in common; and that is our dreams, and our will to make those dreams intro a reality, and I hope that you would help me make mine come true.
UPDATE: For those who would like to donate in peso (Php), please do contact me.through my facebook acount! Any amount would be of great help. Thank you so much.
