My brother, Jared was involved in a severe motorcycle accident Monday night March 16th 2015 on his way home from work. He was rushed into emergency surgery on his left femur, which needed a rod and some pins, or as they call them nails. Meanwhile his left lung had collapsed so they put a chest tube in as well as putting him on a ventilator. He is currently in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit receiving wonderful care.

As time progressed they were able to observe his injuries in depth. They found several broken ribs on the left side following multiple facial fractures. His orbital floor on each eye is broken, his cheek bones are shattered, and his nose is broken in 3 different places along with his jaw being broken in 4 places.

 The next day we received wonderful news that his left lung was already starting to re-inflate but due to the amount of facial swelling he can’t breathe on his own, and as long as the vent is in so will the chest tube. As the day went on and after undergoing many tests they were not surprised to see that his right lung has also collapsed, therefore another chest tube was put in on the right side.

 However we are very thankful to announce no brain damage was found and his spine and neck are uninjured.  The ENT and facial surgeons finally saw him and are saying Jared will undergo many surgeries and will be in a medically induced coma for several weeks. They are planning a surgery were they will both work on him at once if feasible to get all the major repairs out of the way and then more minor surgeries down the road.

He is loving, kind, thoughtful, selfless, a hardworking man and more importantly a daddy!

His hometown is Avon Park, FL where he grew up with four brothers and two sisters. He now resides with his own family in Avon Park. He has a wonderful stay-at-home wife and mother to his children named Lizz, his other half.  He has a vivacious three year old boy named Bently and an angel baby named Maleah who just turned one.

 Jared was the sole breadwinner for the family and worked at an out of town Motorcycle shop as the Parts Manager. His Family's world has been turned upside down and I ask if you would please help and donate anything you can to help them out in their time of need.  The majority of the money will go to their monthly expenses which include rent, utilities, transportation, and other necessities. Anything else will go to hospital bills. 
 
Jared will be out from work while he heals, after which he will require physical therapy.
