Help Jamison is Go to iPOP!

Hey there family, friends, and community at large! My name is Kalaisa Jones. My daughter Jamison is embarking on an adventure, and we need your help! Ever since Jamison was a small child, she has been a performer. She would bounce and dance before she even walked. Jamison commanded an audience from the start! I lovingly nicknamed her "Jam the Ham" because her personality was so big that she would always be the center of attention in any room that she was in. Little Miss Drama! (In a good way, of course.) At age five, she began formal training for dance and acting at Rainey Institute here in Cleveland, Ohio. For six years, she immersed herself into dance classes in Modern, Ballet, African, Hip Hop 5 days a week, and even dabbled in Capoeira for one year! Additionally, Jamison has performed in many plays with Rainey, and she also sang in the chorus.

Jamison has always been her mmost authentic self on the stage. I always told  her that the sky was the limit. As her mother, I have strived to support her passions to the best of my capabilities. I never thought Jamison would stop performing, but then Covid happened. Classes stopped, performances stopped, the world stopped. But now, as we enter the second year of the pandemic, Jamison has begun training again in acting and has been selected to go to iPOP, a weeklong nationwide talent showcase and audition, this July in California, with the goal of signing a talent agent and manager. iPOP gives kids an opportunity to train, perform, audition and build a portfolio of work to gain experience in performing arts at the professional level in singing, dancing, modeling and acting. Some careers have even launched to celebrity level! Some iPOP alum include celebrities, such as Ariana Grande, Brenda Song and Taylor Lautner. Going to iPOP is an opportunity like no other. It is also one that I can't provide her entirely on my own. It is my sincerest hope that you will help us reach our goal.

By contributing to our cause, you can help Jamison excel to the next level! Jamison, now age 12, has really connected to the commitment of owning her craft. She practices her monologues and vocal exercises daily and has even begun singing again, and has done so while maintaining an "A/B" average in school. She is a great kid, and despite the many twists and turns that life has thrown her way, she is still pushing towards her dreams. For that, I am so proud of her! The money will help cover registration, housing and transportation fees for the weeklong event. I know that times have been crazy for many, and there are so many causes to give to, but we genuinely hope you will choose to contribute to ours. Before you decide to click away, please take a moment and look at the video at the link below to get an idea of the opportunity you would be helping Jamison reach. It takes a village to raise a child, and for this momentous event, we are kindly and humbly asking for you to be a part of ours. We have to submit the fees by early May so please don’t hesitate to donate! May God bless you and thank you for your time.
