I am no longer able to support myself due to the following disability as described to Social Security below.
I have suffered from severe Ulcerative Colitis over the past three years and tried to continue to work for a short period after my original SSDI application in 2012 was denied. Since that time my health has rapidly deteriorated. I have at least 15 to 25 stools each day that contain bloody explosive diarrhea with severe pain upon each trip to the toilet. Each morning I wake up with severe Vertigo due to the damaged nerves on my left side of the brain that has been constant since April 1,2013. The constant Vertigo and 66% loss of balance is very nauseating. I recently had a MRI that exposed the four bulging lumbar disc that are damaging my spinal cord causing severe pain and severe limitation to my body movement in any direction. I also have had severe pain and limited movement in my ankles, fingers, toes, knees, and other joints all connected to my deteriorating health by the latest diagnosis of a fatal autoimmune blood disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis with Microscopic Polyangiitis.
Over the past year I have become limited to walking with a cane due to my 66% loss of balance and depth perception problems from Vertigo and back pain. My autoimmune disease has caused many problems with concentration and severely limits my ability to speak on the phone due to the constant ringing in my ears and being deaf in my left ear has caused even more confusion and pain from amplified sound keeping me from attending church or even a movie theatre as the tinnitus competes with other sounds to the point of painful sound.
I am forced to use an electric grocery cart as I am unable to walk the entire length of the store.
This creates mental stress from the double vision caused by Vertigo even tough I wear corrective lenses and sometimes cannot recognize people I know or they avoid me as they see my disabled condition. The financial and mental stress caused by my limitations is causing even more damage to my Ulcerative Colitis even as I struggle to fill out this very form.
I have been diagnosed with Uveitis, Diabetes, Ulcerative Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Tinnitus, High Blood Pressure, Vertigo, Degenerative Disk Disease, Vestibular nerve damage all of which are related to my severe autoimmune disease and are increasingly getting worse.
The severe autoimmune conditions, back pain and joint pain have increased over the past six months forcing me to take stronger medications that can cause me even more traumatic experiences while traveling in any vehicle as they react by increasing my vertigo. Domestic duties have become difficult to complete within any normal time frame and increasingly cooking and cleaning are limited to the availability of friends and family.
My conditions make life a constant struggle to just to survive a normal day of low level activity. When I sit up on the edge of the bed each morning I am spinning and dizzy from the Vertigo and require a cane or chair or even a wall to lean on or press against for stability on my way to the toilet in hopes that I don't fall from joint pain or unsteady feeling I get when rushed to the bathroom from the painful urgency of Ulcerative Colitis. I then try to make my bed even though my joint and back pain are so severe that I sweat on my brow each time I lean forward.
My current budget forces me to cook for myself and beg friends and family for those meals when I just do not have the strength or ability to even make myself a sandwich. I no longer attend or visit any place where I am aware of amplified sound that will cause confusion or pain. I usually do not drive as I prefer not to because of the double vision and nausea when traveling. I can drive but it posses an unnecessary risk. God bless you in advance of any help provided.
