It's humbling to us both to go out of our way to reach out and ask for help. Jake was confirmed having cancerous carcinoma on 4/23/2015 and will be having surgery in the next few weeks.




Jake has been delt many struggles in life and has spent the last two and a half years picking himself back up. He knows what it feels like to be at a loss financially and socially, which makes his giving and generous nature all the more meaningful at this point in his life. Jake has built his life into something other people are joyed to be a part of, which shows in the outpouring of love and support which has already been received during this trying time.  To emerge from a dark bottom and become an individual so generally adored is really a feat, as we all know making big life changes is extremely difficult to do.




After all this perserverance comes a cancer diagnosis, it is hard to swallow no matter when it shows up in ones life, but after really just beginning this new journey it seems especially difficult. Jake is one of the most positive, loving, and loyal individuals you could ever care to meet. Any help recieved here is so greatly appreciated it truly is difficult to put into words.

5/4/2015 Update:
After a two-location biopsy, the specific diagnosis is still unclear. We had a surgery consultation today for a partial-removal-of-tissue and another invasive biopsy so they can get the clearest diagnosis for the next step. 




Current mood: hopeful, with sprinkles of fear. 

Our two income household has become a one income household and we are in desperate need of help to pay for surgery expenses. A client told me once that every 100 pennies makes a dollar, and I couldn't agree more; every penny will truly help.
