A helping hand

My mom is probably the strongest woman I have ever met in my life. She is always optimistic and has the kindest heart. She will go out of her way to help anyone in a time of need, but right now she needs our help!

Last Sunday, October 6, 2013, my mom (Shari Aldrich) participated in Tough Mudder. Long story short - the day didn't end well. She was injured on an obstacle and was transported to the hospital. She injured her pinkie finger on her dominant hand, and it was amputated that same day.

My mom is a massage therapist, and an amazing one at that. Her hands are her life, her career.

She is scheduled for surgery on Monday morning, and is looking at a recovery time of at least 2 months, potentially longer. There is no guarantee with this kind of thing. Though, I have no doubts that she will come out of this stronger than ever!

This tragic event is going to affect her financially. Between medical bills and the inability to work for the foreseeable future, she could use our help!

Thank you in advance, and please keep her in your thoughts!
