I have a dear friend named Sarah Pakray. She is only 22 and has endured far more than anyone should at her age. Her dad died of Cancer when she was only 9 years old, leaving her and her 3 siblings fatherless. Her mother so dedicated to their father will never remarry and has since struggled immensely keeping up with bills and supporting 4 kids as a single mother. Going through a death like that is far enough to bare but that has only been the beginning.
About 2 years ago their family faced another terrible ordeal. Sarah’s mom and little sister went to visit family in Saudi Arabia for the first time in over a decade. Unfortunately Saudi's Government would not let them return to their family in the US because of passport issues. Their much needed time with their family quickly turned into a complete nightmare. While her mother and sister were trapped overseas Sarah was forced to drop out of school and dedicate all of her time to work to help pay the family's bills.
7 very long months had passed before they were finally able to get Sumer the youngest sister back home. Now Sarah had to balance being the care giver and finacial glue for her family at just 20 years old. After almost a year of separation, a year of missed holidays and lost memories, Sarah’s mother was finally allowed to return home and the family was back together. Nothing could be greater than having your family together but the further financial burden this had caused was troubling.
Now for Sarah’s most current challenge, and possibly the toughest. Sarah needs to undergo a life threatening heart surgery where her Pulmonary Valve will be replaced with a pig’s valve. This undoubtedly will forever change her life. On top of the emotional and physical struggle she is to face, her and her family will of course bare another giant financial burden. After everything Sarah and her family have already gone through I am begging you all to please PLEASE help lessen their upcoming struggle!
Will your life be any less blessed if your wallet is $20, $50, $100 lighter?? Will you notice that difference a month from now? I don’t believe you will, but I can assure you that Sarah and her family will feel that difference and be that much more blessed for the rest of their lives! Please don't depend on other people to help, they need YOUR help!
