On the morning of June 27th, at 3:50A.M., Manuel J. Mariscal passed away. This GoFundMe was originally started as a means for my mother & step-dad while he was hospitalized. As of today, 6/28, there are currently 2 other fundraisers in Carson City that will be happening in Manuel's name. 7/4 & 7/8

This is my step-dad, Manuel! A loving father, wonderful grandpa, and workoholic small-business owner. He is always under a hood, or in his garage finding something to do with a car. It's his passion in life, and is excellent at it!

On May 24th, 2018, Manuel went to the Emergency Room at Carson Tahoe thinking he had a cracked rib. They admitted him almost immediately, giving him the diagnosis of cancer in his bones. Five days into his stay at the hospital, the doctors performed a biopsy to determine what his cancer was; it came back as Multiple Myeloma. According to his oncologist, it is treatable and curable. Which is GREAT NEWS! They kept him for three more days, and was able to come home on the 1st of June. 

The reason for my quest with this GoFundMe is that Manuel is the sole provider and is also a small-business owner of a popular autobody shop in Carson City, Nevada. He is always up for helping out whomever needs a hand, and has many, many friends and family that love him! Unfortunately, with his cancer [in his spine, ribs, and hips], and having to take time off and away from his business, he cannot provide the means for the bills that will be coming. My mother and step-dad need all of the help they can get, as well as prayers and well-wishes!

Let's help a man who is ALWAYS out there helping others! Anyone who knows him will give you the best testimonies about this man. My mother has been doing her absolute best to him with his daily activities, as well as my brothers and sister. This is a great family, through and through.
