Urgent Help for Malay's Rent and Recovery

First of all, thank you so much for your interest in helping. Second, Hi, I'm Malay. I am a freshly-24-year-old queer, diagnosed with ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder and more. If you know me, you know I’ve been struggling to find stability in a home since I lost my apartment, my car, my jobs, and everything else i had in Oklahoma due to abuse & manipulation in august last year. (2023) I went from place to place out there for 5 months, but I ended up in a place where I wasn’t close enough to anywhere to be able to find a consistent job, or even get a new ID to get a job. I was at the end of my road there.

So i took a plane to California alone in January, with $40 in cash, my journals, and a prepaid Walmart phone, to meet new people & hopefully find more resources/opportunities for climbing back up the ladder. That was 7 months ago, and if I am being completely honest, this past year has been almost impossible to get through for me. Especially mentally. I’m grateful for all of my experiences and life lessons, but with my chronic back pain, deteriorating mental health, and my undying determination to end my housing instability, it’s time for me to settle in somewhere.

So, yesterday, i happened to land in a house with great people, an extra bedroom, and an exceptionally good price of split rent. (For Cali) Today, i got a job serving at a restaurant nearby and I start tomorrow. (8/21/24)

But here’s the thing; I have to come up with FIRST&LAST months rent ($950x2), by the 1st of September. I know i will be able to maintain it since I’ve already secured my job, but the landlord is threatening to evict the whole house (3 other people) on the 1st if they can’t fill the room/come up with the money. So this GoFundMe is in a desperate attempt to at least help me get to the necessary amount. I know there are some of you out there who care, who are good, and who may possibly be in a position to send 5 or 10 bucks, or maybe more. So if you can, please, help me finally get settled and safe!

**I’d also like to mention that this app takes small fees and that I also have to feed myself, pay my other bills hence the goal amount being more than the amount of the rent.**
