My wife, Lydia, has been battling cancer for nearly six years now. I have no doubt she will fight until she wins.
As her husband, I am her sole caregiver, and her condition requires me to be a stay-at-home husband. As a musician, I can do a few gigs a month to help, but right now things are rough. We can't draw food stamps, as they say her disability check is $200 over the limit for a family of two.
We have to pay rent, electric, gas, water, sewage, and her prescriptions. If there's anything left, it goes for groceries, and the few gigs I play help out, but by the end of the month, things get pretty hairy.
We've also got a van that needs extensive repairs. Lately, we've relied on friends to get back and forth to medical appointments, shopping, etc...
Anything we get will go towards medicine, groceries, and vehicle repairs.
I'm hoping to find some kind of work I can do from home so I can make money and be with her...
