This beautiful child is Ibrahim.  Ibrahim is eight years old and a 2nd grader at Nesbit School in Belmont, California.   Ibrahim has the most amazing eyes and the brightest smile that dazzles.   He lights up a room!

Ibrahim lives together with his mom, Samar, in a single room having only recently moved out of a shelter. In the past, they have lived in their car, in a shelter and on couches of kind friends all over the peninsula.  The room that they in is all they have right now.  

But, we want to change this!

We want to help find Ibrahim and Samar an apartment they can call their own and find some stability in their love-filled but unpredictable lives -- hopefully, an apartment that can readily support Ibrahim's many medical needs.

Samar already works two jobs to support Ibrahim on her own.  After her long days at both of her jobs, Samar looks forward to coming home to her little boy.  Together, she and Ibrahim work through the many challenges and protocols inherent in Ibrahim's life. 



Given Ibrahim's medical condition, he is currently unable to speak or be mobile.   He is, however, able to utilize eye gazes and devices to help him communicate.  As is true with all parents, Samar does all she can to give Ibrahim the richest life possible!

We know the Belmont-Redwood Shores Community is always there to help each other.  Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for first and last month's rent and move Ibrahim and Samar into an apartment near Nesbit School.  Our stretch goal is to  fund a full year of rent.
