Our mother, friend, and the beloved homemade chef is in need of our help after a suffering a devastating loss after losing her cherished farm house in Gordonsville, VA. Late afternoon on 1/07/14 a structure fire ignited (investigating cause) in her house and unleashed its fury while taking her memories, personal belongings, comfort, and worst of all our mom's kitchen. She was at work in Orange, VA at D & J's Thrift Shop when this occurred and was rushed on scene as she witnessed her loving home taken away from her. She is a tremendous "Southern style" cook who is country strong and optimistic to strive on during this tragedy. We are grateful that she is with us today as well as her barn cat, Tuinces; furthermore, she is healthy and under the care of gracious family and friends in her community. Our family hosted a beautiful engagement party at her house over the summer of 2013 and the memories will never be forgotten in the rubble of the debris.
As we take the necessary steps to recover from this tragedy we continue to pray and thank God everyday that she is healthy and has many compassionate people in our lives. Virginia Grippa is a woman stronger than I can fathom, she always surprises me, and is thankful for a breath of fresh air everyday. Those that know her personally know that she is gracious, full of laughter, and continues to help others. We are asking for charitable donations to help her recover from this loss as she has lost all personal belongings inside her house. We bless any contributions or even words of encouragement to help her get back on her feet, while keeping her joyous everyday with our love and support.
Donations can be made through this website or mailed to her personal PO BOX as listed:
