Helping Hand for The Lovato Family

On the night of April 12th, Linda laid down around 10 pm to sleep off a headache she believed came on while she did yard work all morning. She woke up around 6:20 am saying her head still hurt so she sat back down, only for her husband to see her lying stiff as a board. He rolled over to ask what was wrong and she had enough left in her to roll onto the floor. She was suffering a Pontine Hemorrhage ( a form of intracranial hemorrhage, is most commonly due to long standing poorly-controlled chronic hypertension. It carries a very poor prognosis.), having a history of bad blood pressure she knew it was that (BP) because her fingers were swollen. The hemorrhage happened in the stem of her brain which controls your basic body functions such as breathing, swallowing, heart rate, blood pressure, consciousness, and talking. So when she called her daughters (Karlie) name to come help her the words came out muttered and slurred, but Karlie took medical training in high school so she knew she could help. She then collapsed on the side of her bed, by this time her daughter was already awaiting the paramedics arrival. While waiting outside her husband, Chris, screamed out because by this time Linda's body stopped being able to breathe on its own resulting in her face turning purple. Because of Karlie's medical training ,she immediately pulled her dad away from Linda and began performing CPR. She was able to keep her breathing long enough until the paramedics arrived and took over.
When they (her husband and 3 kids) arrived at the ER they did a CAT scan and discovered that the hemorrhaging was so big it bled to the point it shifted her brain causing damage on every lobe. They have her on a breathing machine, and blood pressure medicine to keep the clot from bleeding out again. At this time (April 15, 2018) they are stopping anymore test and just keeping her around long enough for everyone to say their peace.

Any one who knew Linda knows how kind of a soul she was. She has done countless fundraisers for a large spectrum of causes. Auctions to raise money for women fighting with cancer, worked with the school PTA to buy every child a Christmas toy, made 100's of meatballs to sell to raise money, etc. Each year she finds a family (usually one she barely knows) and collects toys, clothes, shoes and everything under the sun to give them a good Christmas when their parents aren't able. If she saw someone alone on the holidays she would make enough food for them to join our family, or when she saw a homeless woman alone on Thanksgiving she ran home, made her a plate with a week worth of food and brought it to her with tears in her eyes. Linda made sure everyone was set and taken care of before she worried about herself, that's what made her so great.
She reached out and helped/touched as many families as she could, and now sadly the tables have turned.
Thank You to everyone who donates.
