Hi, my name is Julio, and I’m asking for help during a really difficult time. My dog Bruno means the world to me. About a week ago, Bruno started limping, and I took him to the vet hoping it was nothing serious. Unfortunately, we learned that he tore a tendon and needs surgery that will cost between $4,000–$8,000.

Before Bruno can have surgery, we need to figure out what’s going on with his heart, as the issue may be more severe. To do that, he needs a heart ultrasound that costs $500 so the doctors can properly diagnose him and determine the safest treatment plan. While we’re in the process of getting answers, we also need to make sure Bruno is receiving physical therapy to help manage his pain and prevent his condition from worsening.

I do work, but due to winter hours being cut, I’m not able to afford all of these unexpected medical expenses on my own. All I want is for Bruno to be out of pain and to give him the chance to heal.
