As some of you may know, I’ve had a challenging hand dealt to me with regards to my health. Over the past two years, I’ve been to many doctors and hospitals, most notably for two ovarian surgeries, the second of which resulted in the removal of my right ovary (thankfully us ladies only need one!).
Due to a genetic disorder, I suffered from a blood clot in my left leg soon after surgery and spent nearly two weeks in the hospital. I missed many months of work recovering and thankfully regained my ability to walk though daily leg pain is starting to creep back up. Since then, I have been admitted to the hospital many times for various resulting issues with few real answers. Finding out that I had Lyme disease did end up explaining a lot though!
The amount of medical expenses I’ve accrued since 2014 has become too much for me to bear alone. Missing almost 6 months of work over the past 2 years forced me to use all of my savings and has put me in a pretty rough financial situation. I am asking anyone who is in the position to do so to donate a small amount to help soften this heavy burden. I am also hoping to allocate some of the funds to finding a doctor with a more holistic approach to help identify lifestyle, food, and supplement choices that could positively affect my health long-term.
As a token of my gratitude and also as an artistic challenge, I will be sending those who are able to donate $18 or more (to account for materials and shipping) a handmade item as an expression of my gratitude. If you would like a handmade item shipped to you, please send me your address through Facebook messenger or use the "Contact" button at the bottom of this page.
Whether you are in the position to give or not, thank you all for being such a wonderful, supportive group of people who enrich my life every day.
With gratitude,
-Brianne
P.S. The goal amount may fluccuate due to new incoming bills. I am expecting a few from a recent minor operation (colonoscopy) and from 4 recent ER visits which all required either a CT, ultrasound, VQ scan (lung scan), or some combination of the 3. I will be sure to post any relevant updates that explain any significant changes. Thanks again! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me :)
