Helping Brian

If you know Brian, you know how giving he is to his friends and community. Brian is undergoing treatment for throat cancer beginning in August 2017 and a few of us are asking his friends and colleagues to consider giving back now that he needs help.

Brian is undergoing intensive radiation treatment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. He has had to give up his home in Woodstock while he is renting from the Centre’s Lodge for people undergoing treatment. Brian has also had to take an unpaid leave from work during this time.

Brian needs help now to meet living expenses and will face challenges when his treatment is finished in getting back on his feet and, we expect, also to deal with some of the after-effects of his aggressive treatment.

Positive messages from his friends are also an important lifeline for Brian-- keep them coming!  In his own words: "That strange thing I call humour seems to have not deserted me, and I'm relying on that and all of the notes from friends while continuing this battle."

Again, we’re asking people to pitch in whatever they can to help someone who would give you the shirt of his back.
