In the early morning hours this past weekend, an Arsonist destroyed the livelihood of Aracely's brother, and my wonderful friend, Roberto.
I have never started a GoFundMe campaign....I have contributed to them, but have been fortunate enough that none of my family or friends has needed this type of help.......until now.
Roby has operated a fine-leather-goods store for over 40 years in the tourist area of Revolucion Ave. in Tijuana, Mexico. That all came to a fiery halt Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, when the arsonist(s) struck in the dead-of-night.
Before firetrucks could respond, the building had been ravaged by fire, and all his inventory was destroyed as well as the machinery used to cut, piece, and stich leather goods like coats and jackets. And, to make matters worse, the building's owner DID NOT carry fire insurance.
I am asking those who can, to help him and his family get back on their economic feet. Roby needs our assistance so he can afford to find another place to lease and purchase enough inventory and machinery to start up his business again.
With the devaluation of the peso and the decline of tourism along Revolucion Ave., the economy in Tijuana has not been kind to those who continually fight to eke out a living. Roby has worked extremely hard all his life and has earned another chance for him and his family.
Please help me, help him, make that possible.
Thanks so much.
