Hi, my name is Zach, and I’m reaching out for support during an incredibly difficult time. I work full-time, but over the past several weeks, I have been in and out of the hospital due to severe cellulitis and sepsis in my leg. My first hospitalization kept me out of work for weeks, and just when I thought I had recovered, the infection returned, landing me in the hospital again.

On top of this, I live with and help care for my grandmother, who is currently battling stage 4 cancer in her liver and lungs. She recently restarted chemo treatments, which has caused her to miss a lot of work as well.

With both of us unable to work consistently, bills are piling up, and we are struggling to cover daily living expenses such as food, utilities, and gas for travel to and from my job once I recover, as well as getting my grandmother to her many doctor’s appointments and chemo treatments.

Another major part of my journey has been my commitment to improving my health. Since May 2024, I have lost 113 pounds, and staying on track with my weight loss goals is incredibly important to me. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is really important to me, but with financial hardships, it’s becoming more challenging. Your support will also help me continue this life-changing journey and ensure I can maintain a healthier future.
