I’m a 19 year old Australian currently volunteering in a Buddhist Monastery (Nyanang Phelgye Ling Monastery) in Nepal home of 34 monks between 6-17 & 16 elder monks, these children have been given up from their families that are poverty-stricken or the families believe they could have a better life in the Monastery. I want to help these kids by raising funds for their schooling, clothing & their basic child needs, these children live their everyday life (2 puja, 2 classes & free time playing soccer & other games) in their one & only robe. Most of the children get shy & embarrassed when they catch you looking at their robes because they are fallen apart & most the time for the little monks don’t fit, I want these children to not feel embarrassed or even give it a thought. During class, breakfast, lunch & dinner they share 2 cups between them constantly running out of class filling up the cups, some of the children have to share a pencil & book for my lessons, they love playing soccer but their ball they play isn’t actually a soccer ball. I want to give this kids new clothes, a drink bottle each, pencils & books, a proper soccer ball. These kids fill my day with laughter & happiness everyday & I want to help do the same with your kind donations I can make that possible for them, I’m happy to send photo updates & donation certificates to anyone who donates.
Thank you so much for you time!
