Helping with the loss of Tuyet Thanh Nguyen

Tuyet Thanh Nguyen (5/3/1974-2/26/2021)

It’s so hard to accept that we’ll no longer see you at family gatherings. That your kind and gentle smile won’t light up the halls at grandmas anymore.

It is with a heavy and broken heart that I announce the passing of my beautiful, beloved Di Ut. Those who knew her would all agree that she had the biggest ,most accepting heart. We grew up with very traditional parents but Di Ut was always willing to explore and show us what the world had to offer. Whether it be the zoo, water park, or movies her heart was always seeking adventure and she wanted nothing more than to share those experiences with us as children.

Tuyet Nguyen was an immigrant who came to America in search for a better life for herself and her family. She was the mother of three bright and beautiful young girls Trissa (13), Tailyn (11), and Tiffany Pham (6). She wasn't able to fulfill her dreams of raising her children, progressing them through their education, witnessing them achieve their dreams, or even seeing them grow up. Although she was unable to fulfill that dream, our family will do whatever we can to raise them in her stead. Her girls have gone into the custody of her loving parents. Both of whom are retired and 72 years old.

My grandparents insist on raising the three girls together in their custody however, they live off of retirement. The money raised will go towards funeral expenses and to my grandparents so that they can provide for the children whether it be clothes, schools supplies, or food. Their mother and grandparents were their primary providers.

Two weeks ago Tuyet went in for a dental procedure. She was rushed to the emergency room during her followup dentist appointment on 5/24/2021 where she fainted. She had an infection, but the doctors said she would be discharged home in 24 hours. On 5/26/2021 she became septic and tragically passed with her family by her side.

More than anything she loved her children and her mother. On weekends she would take them to parks, lakes, fairs, movies, and anything that would bring a smile to their faces. She was a sweet and nurturing soul.

Thank you all for reading. We appreciate anything even thoughts and prayers for the girls.
