Helping with out of pocket medical expenses.

Hello everyone, and thanks for visiting. My name is Mandy, and I have started this Gofundme for my sister Sandra Kane-McBride. As some of you know, Sandra was diagnosed with pancreas cancer on June 15, 2022. She has just completed her first chemo cycle through Durham Regional Cancer Center.

Unfortunately, because of her diagnosis and treatment, she has had to take a forced early retirement. She is now on disability which has caused some worry. Fortunately, OHIP and Liam's work insurance have covered most of her treatment. Her oncologist highly suggested that her biopsy specimen be sent to a lab in America for further genetic testing to provide more information for her treatment to be successful. The total bill for this study was $10000. Trillium paid $6500; after the insurance companies kicked in, they were left to pay $2468. I was hoping that the people who can help out will with any size donation. We are trying to keep Sandra's stress to a minimum, and we all know how money can make us feel. Lastly, as some of you know, I am a budding watercolourist, so with a minimum donation of $25, I would like to offer to send you one of my original paintings.
